Senior Executive / Executive – Environment, Health and Safety

The Job

• Implement and review the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) management system of the company.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards in manufacturing processes.
• Gather relevant data and maintain management information for the preparation of required reports.
• Oversee waste management, air emissions, and water usage in compliance with environmental standards.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Production and Engineering.
• Ensure effective communication and cooperation with external entities and regulatory agencies involved in EHS matters.

The Person

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Science, Facility Management, Engineering, or a related field approved by the UGC.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience.
• Professional qualification in an EHS-related field is an added advantage (NEBOSH-IGC, NIOSH, ISO 14001 & 45001).
• Excellent command of English and Sinhala (written and spoken).
