JOB DESCRIPTION
- Lead the new product development in operations of the injection molding and blow molding departments.
- Work with all supporting department,(marketing, engineering, quality, finance) to improve quality, cost and delivery of the product.
- Provide and assess training and development and deliver feedback for plant personnel and supervisors.
- Analyze plant performance data to identify ongoing improvement opportunities.
- Manage and facilitate long-term goals of department. Production, material handling, maintenance and oversee schedule in the areas of given responsibility and resolve issues as they arise.
- Facilitate product quality, production efficiencies and overall productivity meets or exceeds established standards.
- Work effectively with other department managers to resolve issues and coordinate efforts to achieve stated goals.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree preferred- related work experience required in lieu of degree. 3-5 years production experience in the plastic industry preferred; experience in product design is a plus.
- Strong technical skills.
- Working knowledge of CAD software.
- Ability to develop and influence personnel.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Ability to solve process and production issues independently.
- Experience with lean manufacturing techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills and computer knowledge.
- Must be quality conscious and customer oriented.
